Lets  evaluate each point one by one : i would concentrate mostly on – IE8 vS firefox as I use both of them on My machine. havent played with new Chrome much so cant comment on it as of now.

As far as security and privacy are concerned , I m not a security Expert so wont be able to put a technical comment on this, But going by what had happened recently with IE7 i m little reluctant to completely believe on microsoft with Security. Also there hasn’t been any clear cut  comparison of security features in IE8 Vs FireFox3.0 and Chrome .

Reading all those articles all i can say is  that IE8 is better in security than IE7 and IE6, If you want to continue with IE then only go with IE8 and not the prior versions.

I have even added one alert message on my blog  which will be displayed to you if you are using iE versions less than IE8.

Ease of Use: Well  in todays world no software is as easy to work with, the basic  operations in all browsers for a lay man are more or less same. But where firefox scores is in the advanced features for power surfers like me firefox  has way to many options to satisfy our lust for surfing. good options to organise and best part is  all addons are very straight forward  and easy to enable disable or remove.  where as  in IE 8 managing addons can be quite a complex task. So for me  Fire Fox scores on Ease of Use.

Reliability: Have experienced many crashes with both IE8 and Firefox but Firefox has always  restored my session without any fail. have heard of a  latest patch in IE8 for  crashes. hope this will improve reliability of IE8 more.

Compatibility: That chart above says  IE 8 is compatible. lolz. the only way i found to install IE8 on Linux  wa son Virtual machine or Wine, both of them are big pains at least as far as i m concerned.  where as firefox can be ported on any linux and windows and also provides flexibility to sync with all most all other browsers and online services.

Performance: I agree on that for both IE8 and Firefox 3.0, If you wnat to judge them on speed , you need a slow motion video. No comparison possible on that factor  as of now.

Internet Explorer 7 makes it possible to make various changes to how a web page will print. Here’s how:

·     1. Go to File>> Page Setup

·     2. In the ‘Margins’ boxes, type the necessary margin measurements in inches.

·     3. To setup the page to print either vertically or horizontally, choose the Portrait or Landscape options.

·     4. If you would like to print only specific information, you can type in Variables into the Header or Footer boxes (see table below).

Note: Variables can be combined with text (as an example; Page &p of &P).

·     If you would like to use millimeters for your margins, that setting can be changed at the Regional and Language Options:

Make a new text file and rename it to dnscache.reg. Then copy and paste the above into it and save it. Merge it into the registry.

Google recently announced the launching of a new browser, Chrome. Being touted as “streamlined and simple”, the free web browser is available for download in many countries. Downloading and setup of the browser, currently available in beta, is simple and quick. Chrome is lightning fast, clean and straightforward.

Chrome Features:

• Interface – The interface is clean and simple.
• Omni Box – The new “Omni Box” is an area of Chrome that combines the traditional address bar and search box into one handy location. With Omni Box, users are able to search for information and type a website address in the same box.
• Bookmarks – Users can bookmark websites from the same area by clicking on the “star” icon
• Google Suggest – Another new feature that is included in the new browser is Google Suggest. As users type in a specific website address, Google Suggest automatically suggests related subjects, popular websites and websites that were previously visited.
• Tabbed Browsing – Handy movable tabs are included in the new browser.

1. Click the “plus” sign in a tab or click “Ctrl-T” to open a new window
2. Drag tabs to different locations.
3. Pull tabs to make a new window.
4. Another positive feature of Chrome is that each browser tab operates separately. If one tab crashes, that crash will not impact the other open tabs.

When users click the shortcuts, a new window opens that looks similar to a standard application. Creating a shortcut takes only a few quick steps. Simply click the “page menu “at the top toolbar and “create application shortcut.”
• Performance – Chrome is incredibly fast.
• Development - The open source browser, in the works for approximately two years, allows other web developers the opportunities to help build the browser.

Chrome Requirements:

• Currently available for Windows Vista and XP Service Pack 2 and above operating systems.
• Mac and Linux versions are currently in production.

Current Bugs and Issues:

• Laptop users should completely close down Chrome prior to shutting laptop lid.
• There have been issues with small fixed width fonts on some websites.
• Chrome currently is not supporting SSL client authentication.
