Nokia E5 is the latest of the Nokia’s Business phone series. After doing lot of research and comparing  number of qwerty phones by different  manufacturers, I found E-5 to be best suited for my needs. Comes in various colors as mentioned below, but I bought a white one for myself, as it looks cool as well as comes with a Matte finish which doesn’t get scratched easily. Its beeen 3 months  and I m using it without any hassle.

One best feature is the builtin email app has a easy to understand wizard to setup your official or personal emails. Email reading and composing interfaces are cool and your online address books can be synchronised easily. Using some available online services you can also synchronise your google calander with your Nokia E-5 calendar.  If your organisation uses Microfot’s Exchange server for email communications, you can easily set it up  in your E5 “Mail for Exchange” app. I tried setting up my google apps account with “MfE” but couldnt do it. But I know if I research further  I will be able to do it as I have read reviews of others who have done it.

There is a builtin ‘IM chat application’ with the help of which you can connect your Gtalk, MSN or ovi chat accounts. A small facebook application that helps u perform basic facebook operations. Ovi Store with loads of free applications  and other freebies along with the regular paid stuff.  A  very good youtube application. Believe me youtube plays faster on my E-5 compared to broadband on pc. You can download and install regular symbian stuff on E-5 too.

It supports multi tasking, that means you can run multiple applications simultaneously.  But by far the best thing I liked about E-5 is  totally hassle free GPS navigation. I had GPS in my N82 earlier too but it never worked on the streets of mumbai.  But with E-5  I m able to find my way through GPS and Ovi maps.

Where as in a dual core processor each core executes incoming data and instruction set simultaneously which improves efficiency. Thus when one core is executing its queue of instructions, the other Core can access system bus, RAM or any storage device. Apart from this, another benefit is that dual core processors are 64 Bit where as most of the single cores are 32 bit.

To take out maximum output from a dual core processor, an operating system which is capable to recognize multi-threading and it should also simultaneous multi-threading technology (SMT). SMT allows parallel multi-threading so that the cores are served multi-threaded instructions in parallel. Without SMT the Operating System will only recognize one core.

A dual core processor has two separate cores on the same die with their own separate cache. so its more like having two processors made out  of one.

IP Configuration command line Tool for windows (ipconfig)

Earlier versions of windows had “winipcfg” tool for performing ip configuration activities. “winipcfg” was replaced by “ipconfig” windows IP configuration tool from windows XP onwards. It is used to display the TCP/IP network configuration values.

To run it, enter “ipconfig” in the command prompt. This will display your IP address as follows:

In case your computer is part of a LAN using a router, the IP displayed by this command will be your Computers IP on the LAN and not the IP that connects to teh internrt. To obtain the IP address of your LAN on internet, you can try any DSL Reports whois.

The IP given is the local address on the network. This information can be used in diagnosing network problems. The “gateway” or router address on the local network is also displayed by this command.

Various switches that can be used with IPConfig

ipconfig switches can be invoked by entering “ipconfig /{switch}”. To display a list of all available switches, enter “ipconfig/?” or “ipconfig -?”. The most commonly used switches by a home user are :

•  all – to display a detailed ip configuration you can use ipconfig/all
• release- to release your IP address.
• renew – asking your network adapter to renew your machine’s ip address
• flushdns- this switch is used to clear all DNS info

The above mentioned switches are very handy for trouble shooting your internet connection issues.

The command syntax is netstat [-a] [-b] [-e] [-n] [-o] [-p proto] [-r] [-s] [-v] [interval] A brief description of the switches is given in Table I below. Note that switches for Netstat use the dash symbol “-” rather than the slash “/”.

Netstat usefulness

It is a command-line tool, which is very useful to check the behaviour of your network. It allows you to check all aspects of TCP/IP. It also tells you what all connections your machine is making presently. You can also check if any virus, malware or other unwanted script is making connection to other harmful sources and stealing your information through this command.

How to check for unwanted or risky connections?

If u doubt that there are unwanted malwares on ur system trying to establish risky connections. You can find out which programs are making connections with the outside world, we can use the command

netstat -b

Actually, it is better to check over a period of time and we can add a number that sets the command to run at fixed intervals. Also, it is best to create a written record of the connections that are made over some period of time. The command can then be written

netstat -b 5 >> C:\connections.txt

Note that as written, this command will run with five-second intervals until stopped by entering “Ctrl+c“, which is a general command to exit. (Some reports say that this can be fairly CPU intensive so it may cause a slower, single-core machine to run sluggishly. Note that the Process ID (PID) is given. This command can be combined with other tools such as Task Manager to analyze what executable files and processes are active and are trying to make Internet connections.

हम सभी  प्रोजेक्ट टाइगर नाम से अच्छी  तरह परिचित हैं । भारत में राष्ट्रीय पशु बाघ कि दुर्दशा देखकर  भारत सरकार ने १९७३ में “प्रोजेक्ट टाइगर” कि शुरुआत की थी । प्रोजेक्ट टाइगर का प्रमुख उद्देश्य भारत में वैज्ञानिक, सौंदर्यिक, आर्थिक, सांस्कृतिक और पारिस्थितिक मूल्यों हेतु बाघों की एक संतुलित संख्या स्थापित करना था, और बाघों प्राकृतिक आवासों की देश भर में सुरक्षा निश्चित कर , शिकारियों के कृत्यों से बाघों को बचाना था। इस प्रोजेक्ट के अंतर्गत सर्वप्रथम जिम कॉर्बेट नेशनल पार्क (उत्तराँचल) पर कार्य किया गया। यह प्रोजेक्ट मुख्य रूप से “कोर-बफर” नीति पर आधारित था। बाघों की रक्षा के लिए प्रोजेक्ट टाइगर में प्रमुख रूप से इस सिद्धांत का प्रयोग किया गया- की बाघों के आवास वाली जगहों से मानवीय हस्तक्षेप न्यूनतम कर दिया जाये एवं प्रकृति को अपने आप पारिस्थितिक सन्तुलन स्थापित करने दिया जाये ।

बाघ परियोजना के लिए वित्त पोषण मुख्य रूप से विश्व वन्यजीव कोष (डब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूएफ) जैसे वैश्विक संगठनों से मिला । अंततः यह पाया गया कि परियोजना क्षेत्र  के निर्देशकों नें शेर की जनगणना आंकड़ों में हेरफेर किया  है और वित्तीय दान प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए बाघों की संख्या को इतना बड़ा चढ़ा कर दिखाया की कई मामलो में तो यह संख्या  biologically असंभव थी । इसके अतिरिक्त, परियोजना को अवैध शिकार से भी काफी क्षति पहुंची। चीन एवं अन्य देशों में बाघों की हड्डियों से बनी दवाइयां काफी प्रचलित हैं। बाघों का मुख्य रूप से शिकार इसी वजह से होता है क्यूंकि चीन एवं अन्य एशियाई देशों में इनके चमड़े एवं हड्डियों के काफी मोटे दाम मिल जाते हैं। अब परिस्थितियां वाकई चिंताजनक हो गई हैं, और यदि जल्द ही कुछ न किया गया तो भारत को शायद अपना राष्ट्रीय पशु बदलना पड़ेगा।

हम बाघों के संरक्षण के लिए मदद कैसे कर सकते हैं?

• लोगों को ज्यादा से ज्यादा बाघों के लुप्त होने के खतरों से अवगत करा कर।
• बाघों के ख़त्म हो जाने से वन्य जीवन में आने वाले असंतुलन के बारे  में अवगत करा कर।
• चिड़िया घरों से ज्यादा बाघों के असली आवास जंगल में ही बाघों को रखने का समर्थन कर।
• बाघों के चमड़े से बने वस्त्र एवं उनकी हड्डियों से बनी दवाईयों के प्रयोग पर भारत ही नहीं बल्कि चीन एवं अन्य देशों में भी रोक लगा कर।
• बाघों के संरक्षण के लिए चल रही परियोजनाओं में दान देकर। और सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण
• सरकार एवं बाघों के सरक्षण की जिम्मेदार एजेंसियों से हर दिन की गतिविधियों की जानकारी मांगकर।
• जंगलों के आस पास रहने वाले लोगो को बाघों के हितकर उपायों से अवगत करा कर।
• बाघों के शिकार में लिप्त लोगों को सख्त से सख्त सज़ा दिला कर।

The HTC HD2 is a sequel to the HTC Touch HD. The major features of the HTC HD2 are similar to its previous model but only with a few minor changes. This phone has a massive touch screen measuring 4.3 inches which is much larger than the 3.8 inches in the HTC Touch HD. There are many paid softwares available  to serve the purpose . But who likes to pay for softwares these days so here’s a simple solution:

All you need is a compression software like Winzip, Winrar or 7zip.

Right click on the folder you want to protect  and select Add to Archive.

Look for encryption section and specify a password.

If you also  check mark ” Encrypt file name”,it will protect individual file names.

Select OK , to compress your folder.

Now when you click to extract file , It asks you to enter password.

That’s It.  Now you can write this file on CD/DVD or copy to USB.

Off-course many people will like this to be more formal and easier. But for that you will need to purchase an encryption software.
